|Autorenew Grace Period:||days|
For further details about a particular new gTLD please check the corresponding TLDinfo page.
Only trademark rights holders with a valid signed mark data (SMD) file issued by the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) can apply for an exact match domain name. Multiple parties with rights to a marked term that apply for the same domain name during Sunrise will settle the contention through an auction.
A classical Landrush will be omitted.
Early Access Program:
This is a 7 day period with a descending one-time Early Access fee. This phase is already based on the principle first-come, first-served.
Donuts gTLDs will be available for registration by anyone without restriction on a first-come, first-served basis.
Claims Notice period:
As of January 29, 2014 (16:00 UTC)
The 90-day Claims Notice period - which is mandatory for new gTLDs - always starts with the phase which follows the Sunrise period. During this Claims Notice period, registrants attempting to register a domain corresponding to a TMCH-validated trademark will be informed that a trademark claim exists for the respective domain name. The trademark owner will receive a notice if the domain is still registered by the registrant. More information about the claims period of new gTLDs will be provided in the next newsletter.
NXD release phases & categories
Donuts will group TLDs related to a specific topic in categories, which will contain the respective NXD names. You can download .csv files that contain the to be released domain names of the corresponding TLD by clicking the TLD (red links are not available yet). The .csv contains the domain name and the information if it is a premium or standard domain. The categories will be the following:
|2015-06-24||Generic and Fun|| donuts-release-group-genericfun-eap-day-1
|2015-07-15||Food and Goods|| donuts-release-group-foodsgoods-eap-day-1
(required) command = AddDomainApplication class = DONUTS-RELEASE-GROUP-BUSINESS-EAP-DAY-2 domain = example-nxd.agency period = 1 auth = [authcode] ownercontact0 = [CONTACT] admincontact0 = [CONTACT] techcontact0 = [CONTACT] billingcontact0 = [CONTACT] nameserver0 = [NAMESERVER] | [NULL] nameserver1 = [NAMESERVER] | [NULL]
Owing to a genuine registrar mistake during EAP Day 1, the registry has decided to re-run EAP for 37 domains from the PHOTOGRAPHY group, to give every potential registrant the opportunity to register these popular domains (such as free.pictures or funny.photos). This list of domains will be released into EAP with the TWO CHARACTER group domains on September 9. The list will be made available soon in our wiki.
|All 2-character domains (LL, LN, NN) and ccTLD labels such as "us" and "mx" will be released into the Second Level EAP TWO CHARACTER group on September 9!|
Please note: Additional auction fees may arise for the winning auction bid (payable to auction provider). Some domains names may be premium priced. These premium domains can be registered by using the Fee-Extension.
Submission of Sunrise applications:
Please use the following API command or submit your applications via web interface (Domain -> Application). It is required to submit the respective SMD file.
By using the API, you can either submit the content of your SMD file line by line (separated by line break) or you can transmit your token if Key-Systems is your TMCH agent. By using the web interface, you can upload the TMCH file. Please be aware that the AddDomainApplications will be charged directly!
Example AddDomainApplication during Sunrise:
(required) command = AddDomainApplication class = [zone]-SUNRISE domain = example.[zone] period = 1 auth = [authcode] ownercontact0 = [CONTACT] admincontact0 = [CONTACT] techcontact0 = [CONTACT] billingcontact0 = [CONTACT] nameserver0 = [NAMESERVER] | [NULL] nameserver1 = [NAMESERVER] | [NULL] smdfile0 = [Line 1 of your SMD file, e.g. Marks: Test & Validate] - REQUIRED smdfile1 = [Line 2 of your SMD file, e.g. smdID: 0000001751373633629780-65535] - REQUIRED smdfile2 = [Line 3 of your SMD file] - REQUIRED smdfile3 = [Line 4 of your SMD file] - REQUIRED ... Claims Notice period: As of January 29, 2014 (16:00 UTC)
The 90-day Claims Notice period - which is mandatory for new gTLDs (ICANN requirement) - always starts with the phase which follows the Sunrise period. During this Claims Notice period, registrants attempting to register a domain corresponding to a TMCH-validated trademark will be informed by e-mail that a trademark claim exists for the respective domain name. The trademark owner will receive a notice as well if the domain is registered by the registrant. The registrant must acknowledge the claim on a special website to allow the registrar to continue with the application or registration.
DPML service (Domains Protected Marks List)
DPML enables brand owners to block their trademarks from registration at the second-level across all Donuts TLDs for an initial period of five years. A domain blocked by DPML is not functional. A DPML block on a specific domain may be overridden at any time, and the domain registered by any trademark owner with Sunrise rights to that domain.
There is a significant fee for a 5-year block across all Donuts TLDs. Please note that this fee is non-refundable if the block is overridden. If you are interested in this service please write an e-mail to our support team.
DPML Override: There is a one-time override fee per domain (non-refundable) plus the annual registration fee.
Allocation token: Override feature for reserved domains
When the sale of a Donuts domain is made directly to a registrant (for example via pioneer programs), the domain name is kept in a reserved state (by Donuts) until the registrant is able to register the domain name through their preferred registrar. In this context Donuts launched the reserved domain override feature called "allocation token". The feature allows Donuts operations staff to assign an override token to a domain name. Donuts then provides this token to the registrant. The registrant uses the token during the registration process to override the reserved status, which allows the allocation of the domain name to proceed.
RRPproxy supports this functionality as of now: The allocation token can be submitted using the new extension X-DONUTS-ALLOCATION-TOKEN.
Please note: This new extension is only supported by the AddDomain command. Thus, it is not possible to check in advance whether such a reserved domain name is a premium domain.
