Domain Registration

Before you can submit your registration request, your application must be approved by NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy). NABP reviews your application, the required supplemental documentation, and the proposed website content. Entities wishing to obtain .pharmacy domain names will be required to pay an application fee to NABP of 2,000 USD per website review. Please note, the fee is per website review, not per requested .pharmacy domain name and is payable to NABP at the time of application and each year upon renewal.

The application review process is expected to take 60 days in most instances. Please note: NABP currently can evaluate applications from .pharmacy community members in the following countries: United States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Australia, and Hong Kong. NABP is in the process of creating relationships with regulatory agencies in additional countries. If a relationship has not been established in the country where your organization is located, this may delay approval of your application.

If your organization meets the program standards, NABP will grant your organization a secure, electronic token of approval. You will need to submit this token to us via the extension X-ALLOCATION-TOKEN in order to register the domain.

Organizations that have been granted a .pharmacy domain must re-apply with NABP and re-register with us annually. Please note that the registration of a .PHARMACY domain is a non-realtime process and takes a minimum of two business days since we provide registrations via a partner registrar (please refer to the .PHARMACY appendix).
